Vintage French 800 Silver Decorative Scroll Box, Circa 1940

A beautiful heavy silver decorative cushion shaped hinged box with a pierced out scroll design on the top and edge.  There is a raised swirl empty cartouche in the centre with space for engraving. 

It is French and has stamped on the underneath a star 54 and 800.

Circa 1940.

Dimensions - 3.2cm x 2cm x 1.4cm.

Weight - 24.6gms (0.79 troy ounce).

Condition is very good.  The outside only has very minor age related marks.  The hinge is still secure.  The inside is a little worn and is marked.  Please see all of the photographs and any questions at all, just email.
