Victorian Solid Silver Vesta Case Scroll Pattern, Birmingham 1898

A wonderful Victorian solid silver Vesta case with scroll detailing throughout.  There is an empty cartouche space for engraving in the corner edge.  A double beaded line border has been added.  A jump ring is attached so it can be fitted onto a chain.  It has a serrated match striker panel on the underside.

It measures 4.5cm x 3.3cm x 0.6cm when closed.

It is fully hallmarked and assayed for Birmingham 1898.

The maker is J.G.

It weighs 20gms (0.6 troy ounce).

The condition is very good.  Only light surface marks due to the age of the item.  All of the photographs show true condition.
