Practical Questions for Enginemen and Fireman Book, April 1910
An interesting and rare book called the Practical Questions for Enginemen and Fireman. It is leather bound and published by Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway, Horwich.
It is dated April 1910.
It has lots of information in it and also has some illustrations which are on blue linen and fold out as can be seen in some of the photographs. There may be a few plates missing but all the numbered pages are there. One of the pull out pages has a tear in it which is in one of the photographs, together with a close up of it.
The book measures 15.5cm x 10cm when closed.
The book is in good condition considering it is over 100 years old, it doesn't have a dust jacket and the cover is quite marked and the cover is loose around the spine and it has come away from the binding. There is some foxing too. Overall, the book is still a wonderful item for any collector or restorer.
Please note that the back cover has come away from the rest of the book as can be seen in the last photograph.
