Edwardian Solid Silver Vesta Case Leaf Pattern, Birmingham 1905

A fine Edwardian dated solid sterling silver Vesta case.  Embossed with a leaf floral pattern on both sides.  There is a double beaded edging throughout.  A shield shaped cartouche sits in the centre with two script font initials.  The match panel underneath strikes well.  A ring is attached for a chain.

It measures 4cm x 2.8cm x 0.6cm when closed.

It is fully hallmarked on the inside edge for Birmingham 1905.

The maker is G.W.J.

It weighs 15.8gms (0.5 troy ounce).

The condition is good.  It does dip in on both sides as you can hopefully see from the photographs.  However, the engraving and hallmark are still very good.  It also closes very securely.
