A superb vintage box of optician's alphabetical squares, wooden with a sliding lid.

The top of the box reads:-

J.H.STEWARD
Optician
To the British and Foreign Governments
456 West Strand, London, W.C.
(Opposite the Grand Hotel)
All of the A-Z squares are loose inside the box.
The box measures 17cm x 6.5cm x 3.5cm approximately.
Each square measures 2cm.
The condition is good.  Some of the squares are marked due to the age of them and the box is also worn as can be seen from the photographs.  The box on the edge has come away slightly, however it still closes securely.
